STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Deputies rescued an injured hawk from a resident’s garage in Stafford County over the weekend.

Deputies rescue turkey dubbed ‘Alicia Tur-Keys’ after it ‘strutted a little too close to the roadway’ in Stafford County

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said a deputy responded to a home in the Park Ridge area and found an injured hawk had “made himself at home in a resident’s garage.”

SCSO said the hawk posed for some pictures before deputies sent it to the Blue Ridge Wildlife Rescue for rehabilitation.
