    Man arrested, charged for shooting in Chinatown, police say

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Officers from the Metro Transit Police Department arrested the man wanted in connection to a shooting in Chinatown.

    The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said on July 17, just after 8 p.m., officers responded to the 600 block of H Street for a shooting. There, they found a man who had been shot.

    The man was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    MPD said its investigation revealed that the pair of men had met in the alley which led to an argument that turned into a shooting.

    On Sept. 14, 30-year-old Tyrice Sutton, of Northwest, D.C. was arrested.

    Metro police charged him with fugitive from justice and with a parole violation warrant. MPD then charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon for the shooting.
