    Maryland State Police break up 7 car rallies in 1 night

    MARYLAND ( DC News Now ) — Maryland State Police (MSP) said troopers from the Car Rally Task Force and other allied police agencies broke up seven unlawful driving events throughout the state last weekend.

    MSP said that on the night of Sept. 14, officers responded to several areas throughout Howard, Anne Arundel and Baltimore counties to break up the events.

    6 Maryland men arrested in crackdown on car rallies

    Up to 200 people gathered in parking lots to close down intersections in these areas:

    • 10:20 p.m.: 9305 Snowden River Parkway in Columbia
    • 11:44 p.m.: 415 George Clauss Blvd. in Severn
    • 12:20 a.m.: 3750 Commerce Drive in Halethorpe
    • 12:40 a.m.: 3030 Liberty Heights Ave. in Baltimore
    • 12:50 a.m.: 2331 Cleanleigh Drive in Parkville
    • 1:28 a.m.: 200-600 E. Pratt St. in Baltimore
    • 1:50 a.m.: E. Fayette St. at Central Ave. in Baltimore

    MSP said some people were arrested, including two juveniles who had guns.

    Maryland Car Rally Task Force discovers 14 guns after arresting man in Prince George’s County

    According to police, the following people were arrested and charged :

    • Dublen Sarceno Lima, 28, of Beltsville – charged with driving/attempting to drive a vehicle while under the influence of alcohol per se, reckless driving and other traffic violations.
    • Richard Garrett, 22, of Manassas Park, Va. – charged with disturbing the peace/hindering the peace, disorderly conduct and malicious destruction of property.
    • De’Lontay Coles, 19, of Silver Spring – charged with disorderly conduct, fireworks discharge without a permit, riot, unlawful assembly, negligent and reckless driving, willfully damaging a highway and other traffic violations.

    should have done it the way ocean city does their pop up rally. impound every last one of them through the weekend, and triple + the fines on top of the huge impound fes. their mommies and daddy's must be so proud of their offspring

    Would have been interesting if the drivers charged had had their vehicles towed impounded or confiscated and then how about a follow up from the writer on what actual penalties are going to be handed down?
