RADFORD, Va. ( WFXR ) – The City of Radford said a juvenile has been recovered and two people have been arrested in connection to a missing juvenile case from Delaware and a stolen vehicle case from Richmond.

Around 6:54 a.m. on Thursday, the city says Radford PD officers responded to the 1800 block of Smith Avenue after receiving reports of a suspicious person. On the scene, a disabled vehicle was found with two juveniles and an adult female inside.

While investigating, officers learned the vehicle had allegedly been reported stolen out of Bedford County. The woman, who allegedly gave officers a false ID, was later identified as Kacheri Blount and was determined to have been wanted in Richmond on four felony and six misdemeanor warrants.

Blount was taken into custody on the outstanding warrants in Richmond, as well as pending local indictments.

As officers continued their investigation, it was then learned that one of the juveniles and the vehicle was allegedly connected to a missing person case from Delaware. The juvenile was allegedly being disguised as the opposite gender in a what is believed to be an “extensive” attempt to hide their identity.

A second individual believed to be involved, Ieisha Allen, was found on the 2000 block of Preston Street.

Allen has been arrested and charged with the following:

“The quick thinking and determination of our officers led to the safe recovery of a missing juvenile and the arrest of two individuals with multiple charges. Their ability to piece together critical information under pressure was instrumental in resolving this situation. I am proud of their dedication to keeping our community safe.” – Operations Captain, J.L. Slaughter

The Radford City Police Department would like to thank all those involved for their swift response and efforts in ensuring the safe recovery of the missing juvenile.

The investigation is ongoing. WFXR News will update you with more information if it becomes available.
