    Man shot and killed in Northeast DC identified

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said it is investigating a deadly shooting that happened on Friday night in Northeast D.C.

    Police said that at about 11 p.m., they responded to the 4500 block of Quarles St. for the report of a shooting.

    Teen killed after crash in Southeast DC

    When officers arrived, they saw evidence of a shooting but no victim.

    Soon after, police found an injured man at a nearby DC Fire and EMS fire station.

    The man, identified as 30-year-old James Gripper of Bladensburg, Md., was transported to the hospital, where he died.
