    Police investigating double shooting in Southeast DC

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Police said two people were taken to the hospital after they were shot in Southeast D.C. early Monday morning.

    According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), the call came in around 1:18 a.m. for a shooting in the 2000 block of Savannah Terrace.

    Once on the scene, officers found a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.

    DC Fire and EMS took both victims to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

    MPD said there was no indication that the suspect and victims knew each other.

    The shooting remains under investigation.

    Exactly amen to your comment and each time city’s leaders say they are working to take guns off the street but it’s not possible criminals will always get their hands on these guns - you are right an investigation to every shooting should be done. And if city leaders are not performing vote them out

    Glad that no one die in this shooting , however these guns are becoming more easy to get a hold of like way is that. An investigation needs to done on where these guns are coming from ( for real)
