DC police searching for person involved in armed robbery

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) is looking for a person who was involved in an armed robbery that happened Monday night.

MPD said that around 9:30 p.m., the victim was in the 2800 block of Alabama Ave., SE. The suspect approached the victim, took out a weapon and demanded property.

The victim handed over their items, and the suspect took them and fled.

MPD said that a nearby surveillance camera captured the above image of the suspect.
