CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) — Two Mega Millions tickets purchased in the greater Richmond area won $1 million each in the drawing on Tuesday night.

According to the Virginia Lottery, the two winning tickets matched the first five numbers, each winning $1 million in the drawing on Tuesday, Sept. 24.

The tickets were purchased at a BP Mart located at 4224 Beulah Road in Chesterfield County and at Kroger located at 9351 Atlee Road in the Mechanicsville area of Hanover County.

The winning numbers for Tuesday’s drawing were 1-6-10-23-27, and the Mega Ball number was 18.

Whoever has the winning tickets has 180 days from the drawing date to claim the prize. The Virginia Lottery advises that before doing anything else, the winners should immediately sign the back of their tickets to establish ownership. When they are ready to claim the million-dollar prizes, they should contact the Virginia Lottery.
