    61-year-old man dies after getting hit by car in Rockville

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Montgomery County are investigating after a man was hit and killed in a crash in Rockville on Tuesday.

    According to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD), on Sept. 24 around 9:12 p.m., Rockville police officers responded to the intersection of Hungerford Road and Beall Avenue for a crash involving a pedestrian.

    There, responding officers found 61-year-old Jose Rene Del Cid Ramos, who had been struck by a car, and seriously hurt.

    He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

    During the investigation, police learned that a person was driving a Nissan Maxima on Hungerford Road when it hit Del Cid Ramos.

    Police said the driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

    The MCPD’s Crash Reconstruction Unit is handling the investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is encouraged to call 240-773-6620.
