    PHOTOS: Stafford County deputies rescue pet boa constrictor from sump pump

    STAFFORD COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) said deputies rescued a pet snake, Prince, Tuesday.

    At around 2:30 p.m., deputies headed to the Purple Rain to Season’s Landing subdivision for an animal control call. There, they found a pet boa constrictor had made its way into the sump pump and would not come out.

    Deputies helped Prince’s family with a snake pole “to end the barricade situation,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post .

    Deputies and Prince’s family were able to safely get him out and return him to his cage, but not before he posed for some photos!
