DC police looking for woman who was abducted in Southeast

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police are looking for a woman and a car after it was used “used in a potential kidnapping offense” Thursday.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a woman was taken in the 400 block of Brandywine Street in Southeast D.C. just before 4 p.m.

MPD said a man forced the woman into a car and then drove away. Police noted that it happened after an argument erupted between the two and that it was “domestic in nature.”

The woman was identified as 21-year-old Amonie Anderson. She is about 5’3” tall, around 170 pounds and was last seen wearing a light-colored tank top and sweatpants and a black bonnet with writing on it.

The car is described to be a white Infiniti Q54 sedan with a West Virginia plate: 34D631.

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered to anyone with information that leads to an arrest and indictment of those involved.
