    Pedestrian killed in Montgomery County collision

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Police in Montgomery County are investigating after a man was killed in a collision on Thursday night.

    Shortly before 7:20 p.m., officers and first responders with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service responded to the area of East Franklin Avenue and Seminole Street. There, a pedestrian was struck.

    The man hit was taken to a hospital in critical condition where he later died.

    The driver of the Honda CRV involved stayed at the scene, police noted.

    There will be an extended road closure on East Franklin Avenue between Sminole and Evergreen Streets as the Montgomery County Department of Police’s Crash Reconstruction Unit investigates.
