    DC police cancels AMBER Alert for 14-year-old girl after she was safely found

    UPDATE, 9/27, 3:08 p.m. — D.C. police canceled the AMBER Alert after the girl was safely found.

    The case is still being investigated.


    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) has issued an AMBER Alert for a teenage girl, who was last seen in Northwest on Sept. 26.

    MPD issued the alert early Friday morning for 14-year-old Nevaeha Orellana.

    According to D.C. police, Orellana was kidnapped in the 1300 block of Longfellow Street. She stands at 5’3″ and weighs around 130 lbs.

    Police said she has black hair and brown eyes and was last seen wearing a white shirt with pink pants and black sneakers.

    At this point in the investigation, MPD believes a Black Cadillac SUV and Silver Sedan with the Virginia Tag, 10992U are possibly involved.

    Anyone with more information is encouraged to call 911 immediately.
