    Teen boys arrested for multiple armed robberies in DC, police say

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) announced Friday that two teenage boys were arrested and charged for armed robberies that happened in August and September.

    The first incident happened on Aug. 4 at about 8:05 a.m. in the 4200 block of Fort Dupont Terrace SE. There, the suspects – one of whom had a gun – approached the victims. They demanded property from the victims, who complied.

    The two then fled the scene.

    Over a month later, on Sept. 16, MPD connected the suspects to two incidents that happened minutes apart.

    At about 10:28 a.m., the teens approached someone at gunpoint in the 5000 block of Kimi Gray Court SE. They assaulted the victim, robbed the person and fled.

    Then, at about 10:30 a.m., the suspects approached the victims in the 5500 block of Nannie Helen Burroughs Avenue NE. One of them pulled out a gun and they assaulted the victims. They stole items from them and fled.

    On Sept. 27, MPD said it arrested a 16-year-old and 15-year-old boy, both of Southeast D.C., and charged them with three counts of Armed Robbery (Gun).
