    Road closures in Northwest DC for annual Red Mass

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The 72nd annual Red Mass will be closing a couple of streets in Northwest D.C. Sunday.

    The Metropolitan Police Department said the event will take place on Oct. 6, causing some roads to be closed to traffic and parking.

    Hearings held to examine how to improve DC’s 911 call center

    These two roads will be shut down from 5 a.m. to noon:

    • Rhode Island Avenue from Connecticut Avenue to 17 th Street, NW
    • 17 th Street Evans Alley from M Street to Rhode Island Avenue, NW

    Any cars parked on these streets will be ticketed and towed.

    Drivers are asked to find other ways around or expect possible delays.
