    Police identify man who died after getting hit by SUV in Montgomery County

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) has released the name of the man who died after he was struck by an SUV on Thursday night.

    Police identified the man as 57-year-old Victor Perez.

    On Sept. 26, around 7:21 p.m., police officers were notified of a crash involving a 2015 Honda CR-V and a pedestrian at the intersection of E. Franklin Avenue and Seminole Street.

    There, they found Perez, who had been hit.

    First responders took him to the hospital, where he later died.

    MCPD said the driver of the Honda remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.

    The police department’s Collision Reconstruction Unit urges anyone who may have witnessed the collision to call 240-733-6620.
