Second man arrested in connection to 2023 Prince William County murder

PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Md ( DC News Now ) — The Prince William County Police Department (PWCPD) announced that a second man has been arrested in connection to the shooting death of 26-year-old Quatrail Raynard Smalls in 2023.

On Nov. 14, 2023, just before 8:45 p.m., Prince William County police officers were called to the 3700 block of Wharf Lane, in Triangle, to investigate a shooting. There, they found Smalls lying on the ground.

He was taken to the hospital, where he died.

In an update posted Tuesday, police said members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located 27-year-old Keavon Tedderick Coleman, in Alexandria, Va. on Sept. 30.

He was charged with the use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and robbery.

Police had previously arrested Tyus James Terrell in Woodbridge on July 10 in relation to this crime. He was charged with murder, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
