    Fairfax County reports 911 issues for cell phones resolved

    UPDATE : Fairfax County announced the fiber line issue impacting 911 calls was resolved on Oct. 3.


    FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — Fairfax County officials reported cellular issues affecting 911 calls in the county on Wednesday.

    Fairfax County Emergency said that a fiber line issue was causing the problems.

    Montgomery County receives federal funding for safer roads

    If you are unable to call 911, officials said you should text instead. You can also try another cellular provider if that is available or call from a landline or business phone.

    As of Wednesday evening, there was no estimate for when service would be fully restored.
