2 injured, 1 dead after shooting in Northeast DC

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said three people were shot and one died after a shooting in Northeast D.C. early Saturday.

MPD said that at about 2 a.m., it responded to the report of a shooting in the 1600 block of Trinidad Avenue.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found three men who had been shot.

One of the victims was unconscious but breathing. The two other victims were conscious and breathing.

Responders took two of the men to the hospital, and the other victim was treated at the scene.

One of the men transported to the hospital died there.
