    DC police investigate shooting in Northwest, victim hospitalized

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police are investigating after a person was shot in Northwest overnight.

    The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said on Oct. 7, just before 2 a.m., officers received a call for a shooting in the 1700 block of 7th St.

    Once at the scene, officers found a person suffering from a gunshot wound.

    Prince George’s County officer fires gun during call at apartment complex, no injuries reported

    Police said the victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Their condition is unknown at this time.

    Anyone with information about what led to the shooting is asked to call 202-727-9099. Texts can also be sent to the MPD’s Tip Line at 50411.
