DC man charged with murder in Northeast stabbing

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said a man is facing a murder charge after he allegedly stabbed and killed a person in D.C. on Sunday .

On Oct. 6 around 1 a.m., police were called to the 1700 block of Lincoln Road Northeast for a stabbing. Once on the scene, they found 44-year-old Antonion Woody, of Northeast, who had been stabbed multiple times.

Despite several life-saving measures, Woody died there.

As the investigation continued, the Real Time Crime Center quickly located pictures of the suspect and broadcasted a description to officers at the scene.

A short time later, 38-year-old Kevin Johnson, of Northeast, was located in the area and taken into custody.

Police said Johnson was charged with second-degree murder while Armed.
