    DC man wanted for shooting death of girlfriend arrested in Prince George’s County

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — D.C. police said officers arrested a man in Maryland who was wanted in connection to the deadly shooting of his girlfriend .

    According to the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), on Oct. 1, just after 1 p.m., officers were called to a shooting in the 900 block of Eastern Avenue Northeast.

    There, they found 53-year-old Teresa Francisco, of Northeast with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle.

    She died there.

    Throughout the investigation, 48-year-old Wyatt Michelin Swan, of Northeast, was identified as a suspect. Detectives also learned that Francisco and Swan were in a romantic relationship and the case was domestic-related.

    With assistance from the Bowie and Prince George’s County police departments, Swan was located and arrested in Prince George’s County on Oct. 2.

    On Monday, he was extradited to D.C. and charged with First Degree Murder while Armed (Premeditated).
