    PHOTOS: Overturned truck spills debris, causes delays in Montgomery County

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — A truck overturned in Montgomery County on Wednesday afternoon, causing traffic and spilling debris all over the road.

    Montgomery County Department of Police (MCPD) crews responded to Layhill Road at Norbeck Road in the Wheaton-Glenmont area. There, a truck hauling a substantial amount of debris had overturned.

    Traffic was able to get by, but due to cleanup efforts and getting the vehicle upright, drivers were told to expect delays. One lane northbound was closed, while southbound Layhill Road was shut down after Norbeck Road.

    MCPD’s 4th District Commander said no one was seriously hurt.
