    Germantown woman killed in pedestrian crash in Gaithersburg, police investigating

    MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — A Germantown woman has died after being struck by a car in Gaithersburg on Monday night, according to Montgomery County police.

    According to police, at around 9:20 p.m., the driver of a black 2019 Honda Civic was driving southbound on Great Seneca Highway, approaching Kentlands Boulevard, when they struck 30-year-old Dinora Aleman Amaya, who was crossing the highway.

    The driver stayed on the scene.

    Gaithersburg City police, Montgomery County police and fire rescue responded to the intersection. Amaya died there.

    Detectives ask anyone who may have witnessed the collision to contact them at (240) 773-6620.
