For the second week in a row, West Virginia University men’s basketball head coach Darian DeVries landed a commitment from a 2025 prospect.

Consensus four-star small forward and Providence, Rhode Island, native Kelvin Odih committed to the Mountaineers Wednesday evening in a 247Sports live stream.

“They’re getting a winner, a competitor and a dog, somebody that will do whatever it takes to win,” Odih said.

Odih, a six-foot-four, 190-pound forward who plays prep ball Southern California Academy in Castaic, California, is the No. 11 small forward in the country and the No. 6 small forward from California, according to the 247Sports Composite rankings. He is also the No. 56 player in the country in those rankings.

He chose WVU over other offers from Rutgers, Louisville and more, and he is also the first WVU commit from Rhode Island since Joe Mazzulla.

Braydon Hawthorne , the first player in WVU’s 2025 recruiting class, committed to the Mountaineers last week.
