Snallygaster event in DC to shut down some roads

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Snallygaster event in D.C. will shut down some roads on Friday and Saturday.

The Snallygaster event will be taking place on Oct. 12 and will close some roads in Northwest D.C. and the Metropolitan Police Department is asking drivers to find other ways around or avoid the area.

These roads will be closed to traffic and parking on Friday. Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. until Sunday, Oct. 13 at 2 a.m.:

• 4 ^th Street between Pennsylvania Avenue and Madison Drive, NW
• 6 ^th Street between C Street and Constitution Avenue, NW
• Constitution Avenue between 3 ^rd Street and 7 ^th Street, NW
• Pennsylvania Avenue between 3 ^rd Street and 7 ^th Street, NW

Any cars illegally parked on these roads will be ticketed and towed.
