Man found dead in vehicle in Columbia, police investigating

HOWARD COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Howard County police are investigating a suspected homicide after officers found a man dead in Columbia early Saturday, according to the Howard County Police Department (HCPD).

According to police, at around 2:15 a.m., officers who were making routine checks in the 8800 block of Centre Park Drive found a man with gunshot wounds inside a vehicle parked behind an office building.

HCPD said the victim is in his 20s and is from Baltimore.

Police will identify him after notifying the next of kin.

As of Saturday afternoon, the circumstances surrounding the shooting, including when it took place, are unknown.
