ARLINGTON, Va. ( DC News Now ) — As the highly anticipated game between the Washington Commanders and the Baltimore Ravens approaches, fans from both teams feel on edge but are hoping for the best.

“The Washington fans are really excited this time because we actually have a good team this year,” Commanders fan Brian, who was at Crystal City Sports Pub on Saturday, told DC News Now.

Like Brian, many Commanders fans who were at the pub were also excited for Sunday’s game. They said they look forward to seeing how the Commanders will do against a team like the Ravens.

“Derrick Henry is one of the best running backs in football,” Brian said. “They got to stop the run, otherwise, it will be a long night for Washington. But if they can do that and continue to play well offensively, they have a chance to win.”

However, some Ravens fans predict the team is more than prepared to take the win.

“I am in favor of the Ravens kicking the pig skin where the sun does not shine,” Ravens Fan Tim said. “In addition, I believe God’s favorite team this year is the Ravens.”

With all the excitement, the Ravens and Commanders aren’t the only ones preparing for the big game. Staff at the Crystal City Sports Pub said high-volume games like this require an in-depth plan.

“We have to open up the third-floor kitchen, and we need to prep for it and completely slam every seat,” Manager for Crystal City Sports Pub, Tanner Lloyd, said. “We have to put out stuff that’s easier to make because it’ll get so backed up that it’ll take hours.”

One thing fans can agree on is that no matter what, both teams have the potential to have a successful season.

“If they can stay healthy and continue to play well, anything is possible,” Brian said.

The Commanders and Ravens are set to kick off Sunday at 1 p.m. in Baltimore.
