    DC police arrest 4 teenagers in connection to Northeast shooting during carjacking

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said Tuesday that four teenagers were arrested for their involvement in a shooting during an attempted carjacking in Northeast D.C.

    Shortly after 11:15 p.m. on Monday, the suspects approached a person in the 1200 block of H Street NE and tried to take their vehicle.

    During the attempt, one of the suspects fired a gun, striking the victim. They then fled the scene, according to MPD.

    The person who was hurt was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

    The suspects were tracked down a short time later and arrested.

    They were identified as 18-year-old Andrew Williams of Hyattsville, Md., 18-year-old Anardo Little of Northwest D.C. and two 16-year-old boys, both of whom were from the District.

    They were all charged with Assault with a Dangerous Weapon, Armed Carjacking, Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Unlawful Entry and other related offenses.
