    Child hit by vehicle near high school in Silver Spring, police investigating

    SILVER SPRING, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Montgomery County police are investigating after a child was hit by a vehicle in Silver Spring on Wednesday morning.

    The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) told DC News Nows that on Oct. 16 just before 8 a.m., officers responded to the intersection of Randolph Road and Middlevale Lane for a child, who was hit by a vehicle.

    This is near the John F. Kennedy High School and Glenallan Elementary School.

    Police said the child sustained minor injuries and was not taken to the hospital.

    The driver remained at the scene.
