Montgomery County Public Schools seek community feedback on upcoming school calendars

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Montgomery County Public Schools (MCPS) is seeking feedback from the community regarding the school calendars for the upcoming academic years.

In a post on X on Oct. 8, MCPS said it needs the public’s help finalizing the calendars for the 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 school years.

The feedback provided by MCPS students, families and staff will play an important part in constructing the academic calendars, according to MCPS.

When finalizing the calendars, the school system said it will consider educational interests, operational needs, state-mandated school closures and more.
