PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. ( DC News Now ) — It’s been almost a month since 31-year-old Duane Glenn was shot and killed in Prince George’s County and his fiancée wants answers.
Michelle Pitt described her fiancé as tears streamed down her face as a loving and extremely hardworking person, who was a father and a motivator.
“I just want my family back… I’m just I’m so hurt. My feelings are so hurt,” she said.
On Sept. 21 around 1 a.m., Prince George’s County police said Glenn was shot in the unincorporated section of Capitol Heights on Xenia Ave. He died at the hospital.
Now almost a month later, police still have no suspects in custody or a motive for the shooting.
According to his fiancée, Glenn was the business owner of a mobile car detailing company, a clothing brand and travel business. He was also a cybersecurity student. His biggest accomplishment was being a father to his kids.
“We had a lot of fun together. He was very business-orientated. He tried to succeed in everything he did. He had a strong drive behind it,” said Pitt. “He was amazing. He was an amazing dad, he loved his babies.”

Pitt was on vacation when she got the news. She told DC News Now that she was on a cruise and once she was finally able to get service, she received all the loving messages that Glenn was sending her while she was away.
Minutes later, she received the worst call of her life, Glenn had been shot and was dead.
Due to the service, she couldn’t confirm the details, but once they arrived at the next stop, Glenn’s mother confirmed the news that her fiancée was now gone.
“It felt like I had an elephant on my chest because I was so far away, I couldn’t do anything,” she said.
Pitt believes she doesn’t have the closure she needs knowing the person responsible has not been found.
“I just want closure. My baby has to go to sleep every night and her dad’s not coming home ever again, and she thinks he is and somebody is responsible for that,” she said.
As she continues to try to heal, she’s holding on to her favorite memories of their vacations, family time and his smile.
“He had a beautiful smile. I want people to remember him for the love that he had for us, his loved ones,” said Pitt.
Detectives are working to determine a motive and identify any suspects. Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment.
