ALEXANDRIA, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Animal Welfare League of Alexandria (AWLA) is hosting its Holiday Pet Photos again this year and registration opens up on Friday.

Each session is 15 minutes each and costs $50, which will go towards benefiting the AWLA. Attendees are welcome to bring all types of animals but AWLA does not recommend more than three to five, including humans.

The AWLA said Santa will not be able to make it to this year’s fundraiser because he is “very busy at the North Pole.”

Everyone will receive one complimentary digital image and can buy additional digital images, depending on the animal’s cooperation during the photo shoot. There will also be options to buy prints, ornaments, blankets, mugs and more through SmugMug.

Registration will open Oct. 18 at 10 a.m.

Sessions will be held on Nov. 2 and Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. All photos will be available for download by Nov. 16.
