    WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Highlights from ten games from all over D.C., Maryland and northern Virginia as we are midway through the month of October.

    No. 6 Good Counsel vs. No. 2 DeMatha (Landover, Md.) – Game of the Week

    In our Game of the Week, DeMatha asserted its dominance over Good Counsel, winning 35-7.

    No. 12 Linganore at No. 22 Middletown (Middletown, Md.)

    This one turned out to be a thriller in Frederick County, Linganore mounted a comeback and took down Middletown in double overtime, 40-34.

    St. Albans at Georgetown Prep (North Bethesda, Md.)

    Georgetown Prep continued its hot play with a 25-20 win over St. Albans.

    Blake at No. 15 Paint Branch (Burtonsville, Md.)

    Paint Branch improved its official record to 6-1 Friday with a 35-7 big win over Blake.

    No. 18 John Champe at Woodgrove (Purcellville, Va.)

    John Champe continues its undefeated run, topping Woodgrove, 40-28.

    Yorktown at Langley (McLean, Va.)

    Langley dominates Yorktown, beating them, 48-14.

    Walkersville at Oakdale

    Oakdale continues its hot play in October, taking care of business and beating Walkersville, 48-20.

    Blair at Bethesda-Chevy Chase (Bethesda, Md.)

    In a rivalry matchup in Bethesda, Blair got the best of BCC, 24-17.

    Broad Run at Loudoun County (Leesburg, Va.)

    In a thriller in Leesburg, Loudoun pulled out the win over Broad Run, 38-34.
