13 DC schools possibly impacted by listeria recall of meat, poultry products

WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — The U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service said over 12 million pounds of ready-to-eat meat and poultry products were recalled over Listeria concerns .

The USDA said the items were produced from May 31, 2024, to October 8, 2024 and distributed to restaurants, institutions and schools across the country, including here in D.C.

There have not been any confirmed reports of anyone getting sick or having adverse reactions after eating these products, according to the USDA.

Here are the 13 schools that received the recalled products:

• DC Prep Benning Es (100 41st Street, NE Washington D.C. 20019)
• DC Prep Edgewood Es (707 Edgewood Street, NE Washington D.C. 20017)
• DC Prep Edgewood Ms (701 Edgewood Street, NE Washington D.C. 20017)
• Hope Community Charter School DC ( 2917 8th Street NE Washington D.C. 20017)
• Ingenuity Prep Pcs (4600 Livingston Rd Se #313 Washington D.C.)
• Learn Dc Pcs Pre-K (100 Duncan St SW Washington D.C. 20032)
