LEESBURG, Va (DC News Now) — Loudoun United has one more chance to make the playoffs Saturday as they took on Charleston Battery. Loudoun will need additional help from outside forces but one thing is certain, they need to win.

The first 50 minutes were scoreless, until Juan David Torres puts one in the back of the net in the 51st minute. Loudoun would respond ten minutes later with a equalizer from Kwame Awuah after a great pass into the box. The celebration would be short lived, in the 68th Arturo Rodriguez breaks the tie after receiving a corner kick. Loudoun would not be able to respond, losing 2-1 for the last game of the season.

Loudoun will miss the post season for the sixth straight year, and look toward next season once again.
