Taylor White scores Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honors

On the strength of her second brace of the season, West Virginia forward Taylor White has grabbed the final Big 12 Offensive Player of the Week honor for the women’s soccer season.

White tallied two goals in WVU’s regular-season finale at Houston on Friday. She found the back of the net twice within 33 seconds, scoring first at 54:20 and then again at 54:53. Her second goal counted as the game-winner in West Virginia’s 4-1 victory.

White has seven goals this season, tied for the team-lead with Ajanae Respass. White ranks second on the Mountaineer roster in points with 17.

White and the Mountaineers are the No. 3 seed in the Sprouts Farmers Market Big 12 Soccer Championship. WVU has a first-round bye, and will play on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 9 p.m. ET against the winner of Wednesday’s contest between sixth-seeded Kansas and 11th-seeded Arizona State.

All Big 12 tournament games will be played at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City. All matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
