WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — It’s Victory Monday in the DMV, after a Washington Commanders ‘Hail Mary’ sealed the deal with a huge win over the Chicago Bears in Landover Sunday night.

Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels connected with WR Noah Brown for a buzzer-beating touchdown to beat the Bears — certainly, a moment fans won’t forget.

The team moved to 6 and 2 on the season for the first time since 2008. It’s something Commanders fans can’t get enough of.

“The last play of the game, he threw that pass. And Lord, I was like, okay, we won. I was like, oh man, that’s what I’m talking about,” said long-time Washington fan and resident, Sylvester Webb.

“I couldn’t go to sleep right away. I was so much adrenaline and I’m like, I haven’t been this excited since, really, like the RGIII days,” shared fan Enrique Lopez, who stopped to pick up Monday’s copy of the Washington Post with the Commanders on the front page.

“It’s a wonderful day for the city. I’m so happy it happened and I just hope we can keep things going,” said fan Bryce Cromartie, wearing his black Jayden Daniels jersey Monday morning.

The rookie behind the big play won’t forget it either.

“A once-in-a-lifetime experience. Not too many people get to experience stuff like that. That was my first time,” Daniels said of his huge touchdown in a post-game press conference Sunday.

Fans have high hopes and dreams for this team, with some saying they think this Commanders squad can go all the way.

“It would mean the world to me. I would love to see a Commanders Super Bowl right now, because it’s been like, what, 20-something, 30-something years now?” said Webb.

“Just keep the ball in number five’s hands,” said Cromartie.

The Commanders are back in action in against the New York Giants this weekend before they bring the hype back to Landover to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Nov. 10.
