New firefighters graduated from the GJ Fire Department
GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KJCT) - Some would say that 12 new recruits were ‘fired up’ as they graduated. The Grand Junction Fire Department (GJPD) held a graduation ceremony yesterday after they completed a 20-week training course. The GJPD is the largest EMS department between Denver and Salt Lake City. These graduates have been trained in firefighting, technical rescue, emergency medicine protocols and hazardous materials. Their first day on the job will be next week.
