Texas Art Institutions Receive $50,000 Frankenthaler Foundation Grants
The Arlington Museum of Art and the Chinati Foundation are among 69 arts organizations that have each received $50,000 grants from the Helen Frankenthaler Foundation. The grants are distributed through the Foundation’s Frankenthaler Climate Initiative (FCI), which provides funds to visual arts organizations to support energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable projects that lead to reduced emissions and operational costs. FCI was launched in 2021 and is a partnership between the Foundation, Environment & Culture Partners, and RMI, a nonprofit working to improve energy practices in the U.S.

DeRidder mayor arrested on rape charge
DERIDDER, La. (KPLC) - Misty Roberts Clanton, who resigned as DeRidder mayor last week, is accused of having sex with a juvenile. Roberts was arrested by Louisiana State Police Thursday morning on counts of third-degree rape and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. The Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office jail roster shows Roberts, 42, was arrested at 10:13 a.m. and released at 11:30 a.m. on $75,000 bond.
