ADM Baseball on the Road in Creston Tonight
The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Baseball team is winding down the season with two more games this week prior to postseason. The Tigers have done a lot of growth throughout the year as they began with some tough Class 4A schools, but Head Coach Jason Book believed that it would prepare ADM for the later stretch in the season. The time is here as the Tigers have their final two games back to back, beginning tonight.

Iowa Project AWARE Begins Cleanup Of Skunk River This Week
Over the next week, hundreds of volunteers are canoeing across the Skunk River in the KCII listening area as part of the Iowa Project AWARE annual river cleanup. An acronym for A Watershed Awareness River Expedition, Iowa Project AWARE began with the DNR in 2003 before moving to the non-profit N-Compass Incorporated. Event Director, Nina Marquardt shared the mission of their efforts with KCII. “Iowa Project AWARE is a volunteer river cleanup organization that goes to a different river in Iowa every year by canoe and clean up all of the visible trash and recycle as much as possible. We tent camp together at night and then in the evenings we hold educational programs in camps.”

Drinking Water Remains in Advisory in Southern Iowa
(Union County) Due to issues in the water distribution system, Residents in Union and Madison counties are under a ‘Drinking Water Advisory’ until early next week. Customers in specific areas are advised to boil water before consumption. The Southern Iowa Rural Water Association is working to lift the advisory after completing repairs and conducting bacterial tests. The advisory is expected to expire by Tuesday’s end, with free water cases available for residents in need. Check the SIRWA website for updates on the situation.

Company files lawsuit over money owed for Southeast Polk stadium construction work
A subcontractor has filed a lawsuit against the Southeast Polk Community School District and main contractor Graphite Construction Group, claiming it's owed over $300,000 for work on the school district's new stadium. Central Iowa Dirtworks filed the lawsuit in late May over its work on the district's $22 million multipurpose stadium, which opened last year.
