KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The cut-off low-pressure system that has lingered throughout the Missouri River Valley through the weekend has now disorganized itself into a broad wave of energy. Doing so it has weakened dramatically but still lingers across the area. With minor mid-level ridging, the wind will remain light through the morning into the afternoon. This may present patchy dense fog for the early morning drive to work so please take caution in through mid-morning. Overall, chances for thunderstorm activity are unlikely however there are small opportunities for scattered showers between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m. Afternoon temperatures are expected in the lower 80s but will gradually increase through the next few days as a Southerly flow takes over and a ridge of warmer air develops out of the west.
