EXCLUSIVE: Georgia Brown, the former Head of Amazon Studios in Europe, has taken a board position at Garden Studios, the sustainable film and TV production hub located in central London.

Brown is well known in international TV and film circles having led the Amazon Studios charge in Europe, establishing operations across the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Netherlands and Scandinavia. At a pan-industry level, she was appointed voluntary Chair of the BFI’s UK Skills Task Force, which convened major players to develop the ‘Sustainable Skills for the Future’ framework, designed to drive growth and sustainability across the film and TV sectors.

Garden Studios was established in 2021. It spans 300,000 square feet of production space in central London, including sound stages and a permanent virtual production stage.

Speaking about the Garden Studios appointment, Board Chair Heather Rabbatts said: “Georgia’s highly respected knowledge, power and influence in the production industry is unparalleled and her dedication to shaping the future a perfect partnership for our joint vision at Garden Studios.”

“Garden Studios has quickly established itself as a forward-thinking collaborative space that champions innovation, technology, and creativity across global production,” Brown said. “I look forward to contributing to the studio’s continued growth and helping shape its future as a leader in both technology and talent development within the UK and beyond.”

Thomas Hoegh, CEO of Garden Studios, added: “Georgia’s consummate experience in global content creation, commitment to fostering diversity, and dedication to sustainable growth align perfectly with our vision for the future.”
