The romantic drama is the second film from siblings Sophia and Fiona Robert, who work under the banner of The Robert Sisters. They co-wrote the screenplay, with Fiona Robert directing.
Fiona Robert also stars as Annabel, a young woman who risks being ostracized from her insular New York clique, led by her socialite best friend Virginia (Sophia Robert), when she falls for charming photographer Theo, played by Paul Karmiryan ( Veronica Mars ).
Grappling with the sudden loss of her father, she finds herself torn between the comfortable opulence of her upper crust circle and the vibrant ambitions of the artists downtown.
Other cast members include Annabella Sciorra ( Tulsa King ), Logan Miller ( Escape Room ) and Oscar nominated director Whit Stillman ( Metropolitan ).
The film, previously titled A View of the World from Fifth Avenue , world premiered at Geena Davis’ Bentonville Film Festival in June. Vertical has slated a day and date U.S. release for September 6.
Further cast include Richard Ellis ( I Am Not Okay With This ), Noelle Miller ( Spare Me ), Francesca Root-Dodson ( Succession ), Dan Thompson ( Three Women ), Elaine Hendrix ( Dynasty ) and Carolyn Farina ( The Age of Innocence ).

“From their use of a wide range of New York locations to their meticulous casting of the talented ensemble, Fiona and Sophia have made a love letter to the city as well as a universal statement about the paths to happiness that can only be found beyond our comfort zones,” said Vertical’s SVP of Acquisitions Tony Piantedosi.
Whit Stillman, who stars as the father of Annabel’s fiancé, remarked, “I was grateful to the kind Robert sisters for giving me my first role in an American film — which I hope they can fix in editing.”
The Robert Sisters produced together with Drea Clark ( The Last Time You Had Fun ). The movie follows their feature debut, The Country Club , which was released by Good Deed Entertainment in June 2023.
Piantedosi negotiated the deal on behalf of Vertical with Glen Reynolds of Circus Road Films negotiating on behalf of the Robert Sisters.
