Three of the biggest late-night shows – The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon and Late Night with Seth Meyers – have not been on air for the last two weeks as Kamala Harris’ run for the Presidency has hit momentum.

Colbert and Fallon went on hiatus on July 26 and July 25, respectively, with Meyers leaving the week before, missing out on Biden stopping his run for re-election.
It marked the second time in as many months that the trio missed big news , having previously been on after President Biden’s disastrous debate performance and Trump’s selection of Vice President.
Colbert will be welcomed back on Monday to the Ed Sullivan Theater by CNN anchor Kaitlan Collins, who has been covering this unprecedented time in American politics for the WBD news network. Later in the week, on Wednesday August 14, he will also be joined by MSNBC anchor Alex Wagner.
Monday’s show will also feature Fallout’s Walton Goggins; SNL’s Bowen Yang and musician Nick Cave are on the show on Tuesday; Ali Macofsky will be performing a stand-up set on Wednesday, while Billie Eilish is taking the The Colbert Questionert on Thursday, alongside Sean Hayes and Hiroyuki Sanada with a musical performance by Koe Wetzel with Jessie Murph.
Meyers first guest on Monday will be Ilona Maher, the 2024 USA Rugby Olympic Bronze Medalist. Mia Farrow and Patti LuPone, who star in The Roommate on Broadway, are guests on Tuesday alongside Industry’s Myha’la and Glory Days: Stories’ Simon Rich, while The Instigators’ Casey Affleck and Bad Monkey’s Meredith Hagner join on Wednesday with Styx drummer Todd Sucherman sitting in with the 8G Band ahead of its departure later in the month.

Meyers’ NBC compadre Jimmy Fallon returns with Channing Tatum, Liza Colón-Zayas and musical guest Lawrence on Monday, Elizabeth Banks and musical guest Foster The People on Tuesday, Kim Kardashian, Daveed Diggs, Charlie Vickers and comedian Jessica Keenan on Wednesday and Halle Berry, Ben Schwartz and musical guest Yseult on Thursday.
Jimmy Kimmel Live!, which has remained on with a litany of guest hosts, sees Jeff Goldblum lead the show next week and will feature as a musical guest himself on Tuesday with Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra featuring Haley Reinhart.
Mark Wahlberg will join on Monday to promote The Union , alongside Bad Monkey’s Rob Delaney and musical guest Grace Bowers & The Hodge Podge; John Cena and Omar Sy join on Tuesday; Greg Kinnear, Janet McTeer and musical guest Waxahatchee appear on Wednesday with Awkwafina, Paul W. Downs and musical guest Remi Wolf joining on Thursday.
Elsewhere, Jon Stewart is expected to return to host The Daily Show on Monday after contracting Covid last week.
