Season 2 of Percy Jackson and the Olympians is only a week into production, yet audiences still got the smallest glimpse at what’s to come at D23.

It was just a few seconds of footage, which showed Walker Scobell’s Percy in a blue chariot, led by two white horses raring to go. That’s all for now, though the audience was told to buckle up for all that’s in store for Season 2.

The sneak peek came at the end of a video that largely recapped the events of the first season. Watch the teaser above.

Author Rick Riordan and stars Scobell, Leah Sava Jeffries and and Aryan Simhadri jetted down to Anaheim from their Vancouver production for the weekend to tease some Percy-Annabeth romance, a wedding dress fitting for Grover, and more.

Season 2 will follow the events of The Sea of Monsters , the second book of Rick Riordan’s best-selling “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series, published by Disney Hyperion.

In the new season, Percy Jackson returns to Camp Half-Blood one year later to find his world turned upside down. His friendship with Annabeth is changing, he learns he has a cyclops for a brother, Grover has gone missing, and camp is under siege from the forces of Kronos. Percy’s journey to set things right will take him off the map and into the deadly Sea of Monsters, where a secret fate awaits the son of Poseidon.

Just last month, Percy Jackson also had a presence at San Diego Comic-Con, where it was announced that Daniel Diemer has been cast in Season 2 of the Disney+ series as the lovable Cyclops, who is also Percy’s (Walker Scobell) paternal half brother, the son of Poseidon and a nymph.
