Guz Khan ( Man Like Mobeen ) has been cast as a series regular in the Untitled Riz Ahmed comedy series for Prime Video. Details regarding his character are under wraps.

The series follows Shah Latif (Ahmed), a struggling actor on the cusp of landing the role of a lifetime, only to find himself thrust into a full-blown existential crisis and trippy conspiracy thriller simultaneously. The show is set in London with production currently underway.

The untitled half-hour show is the first project from a deal between Prime Video and Oscar-nominee Ahmed’s Left Handed Films signed three years ago.

Ahmed executive produces alongside Allie Moore for Left Handed and Jake Fuller on behalf of Jax Media. Ben Karlin (Modern Family) executive produces and is showrunning with Ahmed. Roopesh Parekh ( Willow , His Dark Materials ) will also serve as executive producer. The series is produced by Jax Media and Amazon MGM Studios.

Khan is best known for creating, writing, and starring in four series of Man Like Mobeen for the BBC, for which he was nominated for two BAFTAs and won an RTS Midlands Award. His film credits include Netflix’s Army Of Thieves , The Bubble and Amazon’s How to Date Billy Walsh . Additional TV credits include Sky’s Curfew, Netflix’s Turn Up Charlie , Hulu’s Four Weddings and a Funeral , HBO Max’s Our Flag Means Death and Comedy Central’s Digman!

He can currently be seen in Guy Ritchie’s The Gentlemen for Netflix and The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin for AppleTV. Guz is about to go into production on the fifth series of Man Like Mobeen . Khan is represented by Curtis Brown and UTA.
