Rob Schneider Apologizes To Daughter Elle King After Her “Toxic” Claims: “I Wish I Was The Father That You Needed”

Rob Schneider is reaching out to his daughter Elle King with an apology after she spoke out publicly about their “toxic” relationship when was growing up.

“I wanna just tell my daughter, Elle, I love you and I wish I was the father in my 20s that you needed,” he said on the Tucker Carlson Network Wednesday.

“And clearly I wasn’t and I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings. I love you completely. I love you entirely and I just want you to be well and happy — you and your beautiful baby, Lucky. I wish you the best. I feel terrible and I just want you to know that I don’t take anything you say personally.

Schneider’s apology comes just days after King appeared on Bunnie Xo’s “Dumb Blonde” podcast and revealed that her dad sent her to “fat camp” when she was a child.

“I was, like, a really, really heavy child. My dad sent me to fat camp,” she said. “And then I got in trouble one year because I sprained my ankle and I didn’t lose any weight. Very toxic and very silly,” she added.

The “Ex’s and Oh’s” singer revealed she stopped speaking to her dad for “four or five years” because of their differences of social issues. Schneider was criticized recently for what were described as transphobic, misogynistic, and anti-vaccination jokes at a Hospitals of Regina Foundation event in Canada.

When Carlson later asked Schneider how difficult it was to not “attack” his daughter back for the comments, Schneider replied, “If you love somebody completely, you just — I love her and all I want for her is to be happy and to heal from this.”
