He’s a master at the pommel horse. But how’s his cha cha?

We’ll soon find out soon whether U.S. Olympian Stephen Nedoroscik has what it takes to win the mirror ball: Good Morning America revealed Thursday morning that he will compete on the 33rd season of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars.

When Nedoroscik’s participation in the dance contest was revealed on GMA , the segment began with the bronze medal-winning Team USA gymnast doing a floor routine that showed off his famous pommel horse skills.

Nedoroscik became a media darling during the Paris Olympics as cameras caught him meditating on the sidelines while he waited for his turn on the apparatus.

He said on GMA that he just might have to continue his pre-performance meditation routine for Dancing With The Stars . “Actually I do think so,” he said. “It’s kind of what I do to calm myself down, so I probably will be bringing that to the dance floor.”

Nedoroscik also said he might wear his famous Clark Kent glasses while dancing on the show but would have “have fun with it” by coming up with a device to keep them in place.

The Penn State alum not only won an individual bronze for his performance but helped the U.S. men’s team secure their first team medal (also a bronze) in 16 years.

Given his popularity, there was already some speculation that Nedoroscik’s next stop would be in the DWTS ballroom, where he would become the first male gymnast ever to don some Danskins.

The rest of the Season 33 cast will be announced at a later date.

Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough will return as co-hosts while Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough will once again judge the competition when DWTS returns September 17.

Dancing with the Stars is produced in front of a live audience by BBC Studios Los Angeles Productions.
