It’s almost time to say goodbye to Sam and her Kansas pals: The Peabody Award-winning Somebody Somewhere will kick off its third and final season October 27 on HBO.

The series follows Sam (Bridget Everett), a true Kansan on the surface, but, beneath it all, struggling to fit the hometown mold. Grappling with loss and acceptance, singing is Sam’s saving grace and leads her on a journey to discover herself and a community of outsiders who don’t fit in but don’t give up, showing that finding your people, and finding your voice, is possible. Anywhere. Somewhere. In Season 3, we see growth against all odds.

The final season includes Jeff Hiller, Mary Catherine Garrison, Tim Bagley, Murray Hill, Jennifer Mudge, Mercedes White, Meighan Gerachis and Ólafur Darri Ólafsson.

“It has been the greatest dream to bring this world to life, and to do it with HBO. Kansas Prairie-sized love and thanks to Amy, the entire HBO family, and to the most talented and caring cast and crew,” said Everett in a joint statement with Co-Creators Hannah Bow and Paul Thureen and EP Carolyn Strauss. “The heart of Somebody Somewhere is friendship, and we will always hold dear the friendships on the screen and those forged behind the camera.”

The second season won a Peabody and was nominated for a second GLAAD Media Award. In 2022, season one was honored by AFI amongst their TV Programs of the Year.

Somebody Somewhere is EPed by Everett, Bos, Thureen, Carolyn Strauss for Mighty Mint; Jay Duplass, Mark Duplass and Mel Eslyn for Duplass Brothers Productions, and Tyler Romary. It’s produced by Shuli Harel.

Season 3 is written by Bos, Thureen, Everett, Lisa Kron and Lennon Parham. It’s directed by Jay Duplass, Robert Cohen, and Lennon Parham.
